Social Life

Cambridge

We think it’s important for our students to enjoy the social side of studying in the UK and there’s no better place to do this than Cambridge.

Cambridge is a small city with a community atmosphere but, nevertheless, hosts a cosmopolitan range of visitors. A town of bustling streets and pavement cafes, it also features green spaces and parks, and cows can be found grazing close to the city centre. Cambridge offers all the benefits of city life – pubs, clubs, a variety of concert venues, theatres, a thriving central market and shops – with the countryside right on its doorstep. You can walk or cycle along the attractive banks of the River Cam, or even go by punt to the pretty village of Grantchester.
Whatever your interests, you can find history, art, music, traditional pubs, theatre and an active night life. Visit one of the famous Cambridge colleges, hear the choir at King’s College Chapel, explore the city’s museums, go punting on the River Cam, or enjoy the large number of shops, restaurants and cafés Cambridge has to offer.

We can help you venture outside of Cambridge too. You can visit nearby Ely to see the magnificent cathedral and absorb the unique and mysterious atmosphere of the fens. We can arrange for you to take weekend trips to famous places like London, Edinburgh, York, Brighton as well as trips to West End theatre shows, Premier League and Champions League football matches, and the must-visit Harry Potter Warner Brothers Studios.

We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful and fascinating city!

Summer

For students aged 5-19 years joining us during July and August, there is the option to add a varied programme of fun, cultural and social activities to their morning English classes.

Our full day programme includes 4 afternoon activities, 1 half-day excursion and two evening activities. As well as offering unique English courses for younger children, we give parents and carers the opportunity to join their children on selected activities in addition to welcoming them to our family and welcome evenings.

For any budding Witches and Wizards, look out for our special Wizardry weeks; there are two to choose from, one in July and one in August.

During the summer months, we offer activities for all the family including both a welcome and family evening each week and there is also the opportunity to join selected activities with your children.

At the weekends and on other evenings, we offer a range of excursions to various places around the UK as well as West End Musicals and The Harry Potter Studios.

Groups

Our Group Study Holidays travel packages are designed entirely around the groups individual requests and requirements. Groups can add as many social activities as they like to their programme.

As with our other programmes, we have a range of social, cultural and educational visits and tours but for groups, we also offer a range of specialist options. We can organise company visits, guest speakers and specialist tours for a range of different topics such as engineering, environmental and hospitality & catering to name a few.
