Who can join?

ABC Languages' Junior Summer School is open to students between the ages of 5 and 19 years. Parents, carers and students aged 19+ choose from our adult programmes. Everyone is welcome!

Students are placed into groups from Early Learners (aged 5-9) to Juniors then Teens, appropriate to their age and level of English. All students are asked to take an assessment test online prior to arrival.

Early Learner classes make learning as fun and interactive as possible, using songs, games, animation, art and craft. Older children and teenagers cover a range of grammar, reading and writing activities, as well as providing plenty of speaking and listening practice. Students aged 16+ are placed in our adult classes.

Materials relevant to each age group are used; from books, audio-visual and online resources to project work, theatre and literature, and role plays.

Lessons are arranged according to levels corresponding to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Our youngest learners will work towards Cambridge English's Starters, Movers or Flyers levels. Older students are placed in classes from levels A2 to C1.
